Parents of all ages are encouraged to participate in this parenting class as it offers foresight to tailoring your parenting to avoid some unnecessary future challenges.
Adolescence is the period of life from puberty to adulthood characterized by marked physiological changes, development of sexual feelings, efforts toward the construction of identity, and a progression from concrete to abstract thought. Adolescence is sometimes viewed as a transitional state, during which youth begin to separate themselves from their parents but still lack a clearly defined role in society. It is generally regarded as an emotionally intense and often stressful period (American Heritage Dictionary, 2002). Nonetheless, as our youth seek to navigate society on life’s terms, parents play an important and active role in this process. Through Ado-Lessons, parents will learn to incorporate techniques to help their adolescent make the shift into adulthood.
Adolescence is often a dreaded developmental stage, however, through Ado-Lessons you will be provided with new perspectives that can make the adolescent stage enjoyable and can help you build healthy relationships with your child/ren. There is no ONE right way to parent a child, but Ado-Lessons offers many perspectives to strengthen your parenting skills.
Ado-Lessons address issues ranging from:
